Portsonic Communications, LLC To Make Portsonic FM Transmitters As Part Of The America First/Made In USA Agenda; Portsonic FM Transmitters To Become FCC Part 90 Certified As Manufacturing/Assembly Lines Ramp Up
KINGMAN (PORTSONIC) - Portsonic Communications, LLC is working with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on the first steps needed to begin the American manufacturning processes to build Portsonic FM Transmitters as part of the America First/Made In USA agenda. These Portsonic FM Transmitters will be FCC Part 90 certified in the Industry/Business Pool to suppport the Low Power FM Commercial Service in Fixed/Mobile spectrum. Originally it was thought the re-use of the 76-88 Mhz old analog Television Channel 5 and Channel 6 spectrum for the Low Power FM Commercial Service would work but the FCC eliminated all remaining proposals in the television spectrum by 2024 with how several Low Power TV stations were grandfathered in for FM broadcasting on their audio channels by 2023.
The initial steps have been taken with the prior Biden Administration to lay the ground work for the Trump Administration to create the Low Power FM Commercial Service by reusing unused Fixed/Mobile Spectrum as FCC Part 90 already provides the adequate power levels needed to make the Low Power FM Commercial Service with adding in the 200KF8E (Broadcast FM with Subsidiary Communications Subcarrier) Emissions Designator. This is applied to areas of unused Fixed/Mobile spectrum by forking this spectrum so equipment can be built through various private industry commercial partners.
Those steps taken by the Biden Administration are seen on Page 21 of 180 in the FCC Online Table of Frequency Allocations PDF published by the Federal Communications Commission Office of Engineering and Technology Policy and Rules Division PDF document revised on July 1, 2022 seen
here. As you can see by looking at Page 21 of the PDF, the Biden Administration had adopted a place holder for Low Power FM Commercial products and services in the 54-72 and 76-88 MHz spectrum range shown on the right side USA Table for Broadcast Radio (TV)(73).
Building the American made Portsonic FM Transmitters has placed Portsonic Communications in both Arizona and Nevada into a complete development environment for the rural and metro testing that will be required to collect field data by both Portsonic Communications, FCC and partner companies working on Low Power FM Commercial products and services already in Fixed/Mobile spectrum under FCC Part 90. It's very possible that the second Trump Administration through deregulation could also designate areas of Fixed/Mobile Spectrum in the 72-76 Mhz spectrum to include Broadcast Radio (73) which does not interupt already established television rules and regulations to serve those areas of the country that are questionable for licensing FM broadcast stations in this expanded band areas. The safest bet for putting a fork in the Low Power FM service shows areas of unused Fixed/Mobile Spectrum could be the key to creating this service after 25+ years. Portsonic Communications takes the charge in this area by utilizing the 200KF8E (Broadcast FM with Subsidiary Communications Subcarrier) Emissions Designator for it's very own Portsonic FM Transmitter products and services.
To support the earlier research and development work previously done by Portsonic Communications in Las Vegas, Nevada by 2020, work was already underway for the initial Portsonic FM Transmitter products and services in the 92-108 MHz Commercial FM broadcast band in the metropolitan environment. Due to COVID-19, Portsonic Communications had to shelve the product plans for Portsonic FM Transmitter products and services under the America First/Made In USA agenda. Regulatory burdens around the Local Community Radio Act (LCRA) made it completely impossible for Portsonic Communications, LLC in Las Vegas, Nevada to build the Portsonic FM Transmitters that the company was doing for a possible manufacturing plant in the North Las Vegas Apex Industrial Park against the existing 88-108 MHz FM band.
The Local Community Radio Act (LCRA) signed into law by former President Obama did not consider any expansion or language for the Low Power FM Commercial service by 2010 (a fatal mistake made by the Obama Administration) which many companies have wanted for years in the private sector. A second Trump Administration is finally clearing the pathways to remove those regulatory burdens so a fork of the existing Low Power FM service can be done using already established principles of other Low Power FM Commercial equipment made by other manufacturers under Part 90 for various Fixed/Mobile products and services as we begin to incorporate the 200KF8E (Broadcast FM with Subsidiary Communications Subcarrier) Emissions Designator. The Low Power FM Commercial service has "unoffically" existed for years embedded within the Fixed/Mobile spectrum under Part 90 in the Industrial/Business pool supporting various Emissions Designators adapted to many commercial products and services already on the market but the 200KF8E (Broadcast FM with Subsidiary Communications Subcarrier) Emissions Designator seems to not have been added.
